Phyllis Baker MacWilliams

Sunapee, NH: Phyllis Nadine (Baker) MacWilliams, 78, passed away on March 24, 2022 after a long term illness with her loved ones by her side.

Phyllis was born on December 24, 1943 to Theodore Baker and Florence (Cox) Baker in Cambridge, NY. She grew up in Buskirk, NY. She went to school in Cambridge, NY, including technical school to become an x-ray technician, upon completion she moved to New Hampshire when she was 19, becoming a long term resident of Sunapee in excess of 50 years.
She worked for several local hospitals, the longest period spent at Newport Hospital. She also worked for Newbury as a police officer, and a dispatcher in Newport.

Phyllis was an avid crafter and loved craft fairs. She sold many wonderful and unique pieces, including wind chimes. Her husband, Sandy, was always happy to help her when it came to sawing things.

She was predeceased by her parents. Surviving family includes her husband, Sandy MacWilliams; her two daughters, Nadine Cutler of North Walpole, NH and Catherine Bressette of Newport, NH;  her son, Rollo MacWilliams and his wife, Heather of Sunapee, NH; her brother, Paul Baker and his wife, Patricia of NY; 6 beloved grandchildren; 1 beloved great-granddaughter; and an extensive extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an Alzheimer's awareness charity.
