Larry Joseph Peters Sr., 72, a resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2022, following a brief illness.

Born on March 14, 1950, in Hoosick Falls, New York. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Conklin) Peters. Larry Grew up in Cambridge, New York, received his early education there, and later graduated from Cambridge High School. He later attended the Bosco Trade School in Argyle, New York, where he learned what it takes to be a machinist.

He was married to the former Nan Bahan for 26 years, they were in a relationship for over 43 years.

In earlier years, Larry was employed at Sibley’s Machine Shop of Bennington, Vermont

He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and had built and raced cars. He also enjoyed umpiring little league baseball games.

Survivors include his wife Nan of Bennington. His children; Cassie of Texas, Larry J. Peters Jr. of Bennington, Heidi Allen of Oregon, Rochelle and Michelle of Pownal, Vermont, Ruth, Titus, and Britany of Bennington. Larry is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, as well as a brother Leland and a sister Linda of Oregon.

He is predeceased by two sisters and four brothers; Lloyd, Lodis, Laurie, John, Lane, and Leonard.
