Jinny Rae Woodcock, 67, of Lexington, KY, passed away January 21, 2024, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. Born March 2, 1956, in Cambridge, NY, Jinny was the daughter of the late Raymond Harvey Woodcock Sr. and Edna Margaret Bodenstab Woodcock. Jinny attended Cambridge Central High School in NY and then Berea College in KY obtaining her BSN. After 20 years of nursing, Jinny returned to school and graduated UK with a MSN, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The number of people touched by Jinny is immeasurable. She has influenced and guided the futures of many health care providers with her experience, wisdom, and compassion. Both patients and co-workers depended on Jinny on a daily basis. This work will not be the same without her.

Jinny was an avid reader, gardening extraordinaire and crafter of many things. She shared her projects with many – whether it was a quilt, socks, earrings, bags, food, or garden flowers and veggies. She loved to share with those she loved. And she knew the exact right moment to share those tokens of love, just when they were needed most.
