ALBANY - Calvin "Jerry" LeBarron, age 83, of Colonie, N.Y., passed away on March 20, 2024, after a brief illness. Jerry was born in Jackson, N.Y. on August 18, 1940, to Clinton and Ella Mae LeBarron.

During high school, he played sports and worked on his aunt's farm. After graduating from Cambridge High School in 1959, Jerry went on to study at Suny Cobleskill and then California State University at St. Luis Obispo and received his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Farming and was a member of Zeta Alpha Phi Fraternity.
 

After graduation, Jerry was employed at Fort Orange Press, Canada Dry, and then worked at Sterling Winthrop, through various transitions of the company, until his retirement in 2003. In his retirement years, Jerry enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, watching baseball, traveling and helping his extended family, the Munir's at the West Albany News Store. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry was predeceased by his wife Stella LeBarron and siblings Roger, Roland, Arthur, Walter, Irving LeBarron and Hazel Pacheco.
He is survived by his daughter Christie LeBarron and siblings William (Mercy) LeBarron, Mary Pacheco, Bertha Rogers, his sister-in-law Gloria LeBarron, many loving nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

Many special thanks to his nephew Ryan Smith, for his loving support and care over the years.

Services will be held at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, N.Y., on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Viewing 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to mass at 11 a.m. Following mass, a luncheon will be held downstairs in the Community room.
