Anna Leslie Stephenson

Cambridge-Anna L. Stevenson, 96, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday evening, October 20, 2016 at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls.

Born in Cambridge March 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Hahn) Leslie.  She graduated from the Cambridge Union School.  Anna had worked on the family dairy farm and then at the Asgrow Seed Company in Cambridge.  Anna then worked in the office at the Mary McClellan Hospital for many years until retiring.

Anna was an Avon lady for 25 years and a member of the Avon President’s Club.  She was also a member of the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Farm & Garden Club.

Anna had many hobbies and interests such as gardening, reading, crafts, knitting, sewing and crocheting.  She also enjoyed watching birds and her family was important to her and enjoyed visiting with them.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William J. Stevenson who passed away September 30, 2010; a sister, Emily; brothers, William, Charles & John.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Julie Wetherby of Cambridge; a granddaughter, Wendy (Chad) McCauley of Cambridge; great grandchildren, Jessie and Ethan McCauley of Cambridge and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church, 81 East Main St., Cambridge with Rev. Kate Kotfila officiating.  A calling hour will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
