JULY 29,2015

Dear CCS Alumni and Friends, what a reunion we had!!!  Congratulations to the Alumni Committee and all those who worked so hard to make it a huge success!!

Friday was the Orange and Black Scramble at Windy Hills in Greenwich. The weather was perfect as the 12 teams vyed for the top honor on the coveted Champions Plaque. (See the pictures to find out who won)   It was a little troublesome getting to the course as there was a fire in Greenwich, which caused a detour.  I tell you this because Cousin Raz Macauley is a fireman first and a golfer second....remember this when you see the golf videos  :-) Speaking of the videos.... I want to thank the team of Matt Pender, Terry Brennen, Don Catellier and Andy Nolan for using the video time as an opportunity to dedicate their game to 3 very special people.   Next year, I would like to see all the teams say something in honor or in memory of someone.

The Lake Dance Revival was a hit and everyone had so much fun!!!  Some of danced like we were teenagers again and found out the next morning that we were not!!!!  There is talk that this might be an annual events...maybe a Street Dance in town.  I am casting in my "yes" vote right now.  Saturday's reunion had about 200 attendees and everyone seemed to have a great time.  The food was good, the weather was great and the conversations were lively with lots of laughter!!!!  As always, the breakfast at the American Legion was delicious.  It was such a wonderful reunion!!!!!!!!!   I am going to run out of !!!!!!!'s!

2015 REUNION PICTURES and the Scramble Pictures & Videos
 are on line.

If you have pictures from the reunion weekend, or from your class’s reunion held on other days, please share them.  I will be glad to put them on line.

If you have comments.questions and/or suggestions about next year's 12th Annual All Classes Reunion and Scramble, please let me know.  I will not give out your name but will pass the information on to the Alumni Committee or Mike Baratto.  Of course, we would love to put your comments in upcoming newsletters but NOT without your permission.

A Very Special THANK YOU to the Alumni Committee again for my plane ticket, to Pam and Raz Macauley for the place to live for 10 days, to Linda Finning Kelley, Lorna Finning and LariAnne Finning Hayes for the wonderful lunch in Manchester, to Joe Rouse for breakfast with homemade corned beef hash in Arlingtom, to June Bell for a delightful lunch in Salem, to Karen Dusha McKeen for supper at the Burger Den, to the Class of 1960 for allowing me to be their "surprise guest" ( another name for photographer)  at their Friday night 55th Reunion and to the Class of 1965 for inviting me to their Sunday Afternoon 50th Reunion. I love the 10 days I spend in Cambridge each year!!  The weather was beautiful.  It was not easy returning to Rienzi Mississippi and the 95° temp (heat index 110°)

Greetings from Seattle, Wa. Wishing everyone at the Alumni Events best wishes and good health. I had planned on attending but my daughters job situation in Bellingham Wa changed and since we have had only 3 days of rain since May 1, I need to be here for this stretch to water my growing empire of plants and lawn requiring twice daily watering.

I repeat, 3 days of rain since May 1. We do not expect any significant rain till late October early November. July 30 will be 90 days since May 1. 3 rainy days, maybe 7 overcast days, the other 80 days are bright and sunny.

Once the rest of the country finds out that the California weather has moved north to Portland Or and Seattle Wa, then I predict population boom, AND HIGH HOUSE PRICES. everything HERE IS AS HIGH AS YOU WANT IT TO BE!
