Class officers: Don Pierce, Darwin Whitcomb, Linda Morache, Bob Warren, Marjory Ridler, John Hunt. NYS Regents Scholarship winners : Don Pierce, Karl Rogge, Debbie Lull, Clarence King.
The football team finished 3-5 including
a 21-12 victory over arch-rival Salem. This led to Cambridge winning
back the Old Oaken Bucket as Salem’s Student Council president,
Angelo Tarantino, presented the trophy to CCS’s Student Council
president, Karl Rogge, before an enthusiastic assembly .
Bob Harrington had an 80-yard kickoff
return led to his 994 yards of Cambridge’s total of 1450. Tom
Severson returned an interception 50 yards for a TD. Vinnie McDonald
boomed a 70 yard punt on route to an average of 44 yards per punt. The basketball team finished 0-16 with close loses to Granville and Greenwich. Two opponents topped 100 points.
