A REQUEST FROM HUBBARD HALL

For over three decades the Cambridge-based arts center, Hubbard Hall, has been a place where generations have grown up learning and having fun, home to the magic of passionate artists working together, a champion of making 19th century facilities serve 21st century programs and a symbol of how volunteerism can make all this happen.

Hubbard Hall has embarked on a three-year Transition Fund Drive, commencing in 2012, whereby the Hall will emerge stronger and ready for the transition from founding leadership to the next chapter in it’s decades-long existence, and we need your support to ensure that Hubbard Hall remains a beacon of arts to the next generation of
Cambridge-area children and residents.

Your support will ensure that Hubbard Hall is able to continue making art and community in the Cambridge area.
Your tax-deductible donation can be made online here, or checks can be mailed to:

In the "It's a Small World" Department

From John Carlson (Class of 1960)

In April my wife and I were vacationing in Savannah and walking thru the beautiful squares in the old city. As we walked from one square to another we passed a model trains store. In the display window was the train schedule I have attached. It was the only train schedule on display. I was surprised to see a timetable with the towns/villages of Johnsonville, Buskirks (sic), Eagle Bridge, Cambridge, Shushan, etc. I don't know when passenger service to Cambridge ceased but my guess is that this timetable dates to before 1950.
